Ingredients
• Meat (Chicken/Lamb): 1 kg
• Rice: 1 kg (soaked)
• Onions: 2 medium (sliced)
• Carrots: 200g (matchstick slices)
• Raisins: 5 tbsp
• Orange Juice: ½ cup
Sugar: 2 tbsp
• Oil/Butter: 1 cup
• Hot Water: 3 cups
• Spicishop Afghani Plao Masala: 1 packet
Steps
1. Fry onions in oil until golden. Add meat, masala, raisins, and stir.
2. Add orange juice and 2 cups water. Cook until meat is tender (chicken: 30
mins, lamb: 45 mins).
3. Add rice and 3 cups hot water. Boil, cover tightly, and cook for 15 mins.
4. Fluff rice, cover, and cook 10 more mins.
5. Stir-fry carrots in butter with sugar for 2 mins.
6. Layer rice with meat and top with fried carrots.
